The Family Cookout

There’s no time like family time! It was wonderful reconnecting with family members I hadn’t seen in years and meeting new branches of the family tree.

A huge thank you to the planning committee! Pulling off such an event requires a tremendous amount of behind-the-scenes work and dedication. My contribution was in marketing—designing flyers, organizing outreach for family near and far, and creating a colorful family tree that represents the many personalities in our family.

A conversation with my dad inspired the slogan for our t-shirts, which became the first original product of Miss Vonne’s Closet, a project dedicated to celebrating family.

I’ve always loved a good themed event! So, I invite you to explore not only the Family Fun Collection, but also our Festive Teacher Wear as I celebrate 24 years of shaping tomorrow’s leaders, one lesson at a time.
